I want to talk about persnickety.This is a fun sounding word that came to mind this morning and I realized I had no idea what it meant. I thought maybe it was something like serendipitous. Nope. It is just another way of saying “anally retentive snob.” Such a pleasant sounding word for such an ugly meaning. I always thought it had good connotations, not bad.
Persnickety is an adjective, meaning fussy about small details or snobby. It can also mean “requiring a high level of precision.”
