KillFive.com Privacy Policy

Protecting your privacy is as important as protecting my own. So that you fully understand how I handle your information, I have included this explanation about what kinds of personal information I receive and collect while you are visiting KillFive.com. I’ll also explain what I do to safeguard your information. Understand that I will never sell your personal information to third parties…Ever!

Log Files

As with almost every website, I collect and use data in log files. Log files contain your IP (internet protocol) address, your ISP (internet service provider), the browser you used to visit my site, when and for how long you visited and which pages you visited on the site. This helps me determine if I’m doing a good job with the content I’m providing you.

Cookies and Web Beacons

I use cookies to store information to help track your personal preferences while at KillFive.com. I can only get information that can identify you personally if you sign up for a newsletter, in which case I will have your email address only. In addition, third-party advertisements are used on KillFive.com to support the costs of running the site. Some of my advertisers may use technology like cookies and web beacons in their advertising here. Such technology sends information like your IP address, your ISP , the browser, if you have Flash installed and the types of websites you visit. The information helps advertisers target ads to people who might actually be interested in buying their products.

DoubleClick DART cookies

KillFive.com might also may use DART cookies used for serving ads through Google’s DoubleClick. The technology puts a cookie on your computer whenever you visit a site that has DoubleClick advertising. This way the sites can target the ads to your interests. Understand that DART uses no personal information. It only collects “non personally identifiable information.” DART will NOT track information that can be used to identify you, such as your name, address, email address, phone number, social security number, bank account numbers or credit card numbers. If you do not want to be part of this ad serving technology, visit http://www.doubleclick.com/privacy/dart_adserving.aspx to opt out.

Another way to protect your privacy is to turn off third-party cookies, or shut off cookies altogether. You may also be able to do this by managing your Internet security software. You should understand that turning off cookies will affect your Internet browsing experience. Web sites will not be able to pre-fill information for you, and some sites will not work for you at all without cookies enabled.

Deleting cookies will not permanently opt you out of any advertising program. Each time you visit a site with cookie advertisements, a new cookie will be saved on your system. The only way to avoid this is to disable cookies.
