I've got a waiting list building over at my writing profile site, <a href="http://www.jessicabosari.com/guest-blogging-services" title="Guest Blogging Services" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">JessicaBosari.com</a>. I am set to take new clients beginning 3/1/2011, but I'm not yet certain what pricing structure I will use.

You can also try <a href="http://www.jessicabosari.com/sponsored-post-placement-service" title="Sponsored Post Placement Service" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">Monique's sponsored post placement service</a>

Any takers, please comment below so Chris can get the help he needs!

Yet more changes! Soon after the last update, Yahoo's Site Explorer disappeared for ever, gobbled up by the bing acquisition. So, now I am using a paid subscription tool to do the same job. MajesticSEO (I'm sure there are many tools like it out there) lets me look for the number of "referring domains," actually a much more accurate tool than the Yahoo one anyway. This one costs $20 per month. Most clients can provide you with a solution at no cost.

I had some questions on this topic emailed to me and thought I would share them here:

1. Are "clients" sites/business that ask you to find a site on which to guest blog so you can backlink to their business site?

Yes

OR Are "clients" the site for which you are guest blogging and the backlink is for YOUR business site?

No

2. With Google Pagerank, IS A SMALLER NUMBER BETTER?

No. Google ranks 1-10, 10 is best.

3. The link to “search engines ranker”. . . is that something I should download the free version of or look at someday purchasing?

I think that must have been an ad link.

4. I am confused about some of the links on the KillFive page like “trust” that goes to legalzoom or “highlights” that goes to Monster. Is that a way of advertising? The link applies to the word, but not the article. Is this a way of gaining revenue for your site?

Yes. Sorry the confusion. Ads should be double underlined so you can tell the difference.

5. Much is said about keywords and placement for SEO, but I feel like I need to know a lot more

o Where do the “keywords” come from? My own mind?

Keywords are research by the client and then provided to you with the backlinks he or she wants to place. In the context of guest blogging, they are used as "anchor" text for the backlinks. Search engines relate the link to the anchor text to come up with relevant matches when people search. The code (Not visible to reader) looks like this:

<a href="back link to place" rel="nofollow">anchor text</a>

The reader sees the underlined anchor text. If he or she clicks the anchor text, it takes him to the linked page.

o Do I “test” the keywords in some way before deciding they would be good keywords for the post?

The client does this. It's a special skill beyond the scope of guest blogging. Many factors go in to choosing keywords, so it's best for the client to do it.

Hi, David. My best advice is to jump in and get your feet wet. The worst thing that can happen is you end up doing something else. The Web always needs bloggers, article writers, copy writers, editors and more. You're sure to find something that works for you.

To see all the places that might help you launch your writing career, read the link below:

Killer?:

Hello, I just finished reading the above article and all of the responses. I was absolutely blown away by the information.

I am a recently laid-off English teacher and have been secretly pining away at a new career. The only problem is that I am quite nervous about the whole endeavor and don't know if I'm really qualified to be a copywriter.

I have written a novel (unpublished as of today's date), but I don't have any "samples" to submit to find out whether or not I have any talent.

Also, I have written down: eCopywriter.com, Textbroker.com, Zemandi.com, and Helium Marketplace.com sites for copywriters. Are there any others you know of?

Thank you.

Hi Edward. I haven't tried them, but I will do that today to give you an idea how it is. Textbroker is actually based in Arizona BTW.
